GOLDROY was bred by Stephen Van Tassell in Millbrook, NY. The family behind GOLDROY has been of interest for a number of years due to the unique sires in the pedigree and the extreme fat test. The ROY dam, Eroy, was a great young cow that generated worldwide attention. Stephen flushed Eroy as a 2 year old to AltaAllegro, SHOTTLE and Goldwyn, then sold her at the Snapshots of Starmark Sale in OH to Nova Holsteins & Friends in WI. Nova & Friends liked the Goldwyn cross so well they flushed Eroy to him again, thus resulting in the “Fab Five” as they are called. All told, Eroy has 22 daughters scored VG from 7 different sires and more heifers waiting to calve to add to this impressive total. ABS has multiple sons awaiting sampling from the SHOTTLE and Goldwyn daughters of Eroy.
Daughters have loads of style, being taller with a clean, flat bone and open rib. The daughters track straight from the rear with a little more flex in the hock and a strong pastern. The udders display great veination with a snug fore attachment and nice rear udder.
GOLDROY is the ideal mating on cows needing a cleaner, flatter bone. He will cross well on Mtoto, O-man & Outside bloodlines as well as daughters of AFFIRMED, ATLAS, BOLTON, DUNDEE, DRAKE, REECE and SHOTTLE.
