Highlights From a GMS Open Day in Denmark

Dansk ABS and the Bakker family organized a GMS open day on March 26, 2011.

The Bakker family moved from the Netherlands to Denmark in 2006. After one year there, Klaas Bakker decided to start with GMS 5 years ago, because he was already using many ABS sires. After 4 years of GMS, we can show milking daughters sired by Drake, Bradley, Bolton, Lymeshot, Jammer, Garrison, Roy, Grayson and Grandview. These cows that where shown are the first generation of ABS-GMS. The Bakker family is very pleased by the results.

Another very important detail is that most of the young cows grandsires are unknown. With fantastic cows and great weather it was a very successful day for the Bakker family and Dansk ABS.
